ADULT EDUCATION INFORMATION

Reverend Kenneth J, Tatro, Pastor 739-0456
Maryanne Isham, Director of Religious Education 736-1622
Maryanne Isham, Catechist

All adults are welcome to participate in Saint Mary's Adult Education Classes. We realize that all may not be in a position to attend every class but it is our hope that courteous notification will be given whenever possible to our volunteer catechists so that they may plan accordingly.

Normally our classes conclude prior to Easter; however, we have reserved classroom space on April 5 and 12 in the event that members of the group need extra time to complete preparation for sacraments.

Those adults who wish to prepare for the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist or Confirmation are expected to arrange for a meeting with our Pastor, Reverend Kenneth J. Tatro, so that he will be aware of your presence in our program and be able to make a determination concerning your eligibility to celebrate the sacraments with us.

Adults preparing to celebrate a sacrament must submit copies of records of sacraments previously celebrated in other churches.

Adult Religious Education is also offered as adult faith enrichment for anyone who would like to learn more about our faith.

Due to the fact that a person can only be baptized once, those adults who have been validly baptized in a non-Catholic church and who, after this course of study, wish to become members of the Roman Catholic Church will be welcomed into our church after a Profession Of Faith. The Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation will be celebrated on the same day during a Mass offered for your intention.

Those who have been baptized in the Catholic Church and have never celebrated the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist will be welcome to celebrate these sacraments at a time to be determined by the Pastor upon the advice of the Catechists.

Those who have been baptized in the Catholic Church, have celebrated the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, completed this course of study and have been deemed eligible by the Pastor may celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation which will be administered by the Ordinary of the diocese or his appointed priest.
