April, 2009.

Dear Parishioners,

The special services of Holy Week and the Easter Masses last weekend complemented the Parish and the unique spirit that we have here at St. Mary’s.

It was most gratifying to see so many of our parishioners and visitors in attendance; in particular those who spent time in fervent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Holy Thursday evening and those who supported the efforts of our

young people in their solemn depiction of the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday afternoon.  I extend deep appreciation to all who participated in that presentation and applaud the efforts and guidance of Lee Lyon, Maryanne Isham and Terry Roberts.

Gratitude is also extended to St. Mary’s Choir, and our Music Director, Organist and Cantor Chris Gosselin. The music was truly beautiful.  My thanks to the faithful Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and Ushers and those good people who gave of their time cleaning and decorating the church.

I thank all who contributed so graciously to the Flower Fund in the memory of their loved ones. Memorial names and donors received will be listed in a special supplement.

My sincere appreciation is extended to Leona & Pat Hagerty for their help with greeting cards sent to the homebound as well as those in nursing homes, Carol Grise, Tom Kelley, Lorraine Sherry, Family & Community Life Commission & the Eucharistic Ministers for coordinating and delivering the Easter plants to homebound parishioners and to those residing in nursing homes.

Approximately 200 individuals joined together to share the tasty Soup Supper served on Holy Thursday. We applaud the generous efforts of those who planned, prepared and served this meal. I extend my thanks for the free-will donations of those attending the supper; $156.00 will be donated to our food pantry to help fund our efforts on behalf of the needy of our parish.

May the Peace and Love of Our Risen Lord be with each of you always,

                                                                                                                                    Father Michael
