Plan, coordinate, and conduct programs which fulfill the temporal needs of the Parish, with emphasis on youth, the elderly and family life in general. To coordinate efforts of Parish societies. To develop and to conduct informational surveys. To be responsible for keeping the Parish informed of all phases of Council activity.
Activities:
Work with the elderly and the sick.
Work with youth.
Work with those individuals with special needs.
Work with Parish Organizations
Initiate a project or work to solicit donations to help a family re-establish their home after a disaster.
Facilitate outward support of community help organizations for the purpose of identifying and acting on needs.
Facilitate welcome wagon activities.
Publish and post photos elected Parish Council members
Maintain Parish Website
Coordinate with Parish Council Chairperson monthly Parish Council presentations from the Pulpit by elected Parish Council members
Commission meetings will be held from 6:15 to 7:00PM on the night of Parish Council meetings.

Cards and Flower Distribution to Shut-Ins
Chairperson: Pat Hagerty.
Maintains list of Shut-ins and establishes routes for delivery of Christmas and Easter flowers to Shut-ins by Parish Volunteers.
Thinking of you, Birthday, Christmas, Easter, and other occasion greeting cards sent throughout the year.
Sunday Coffee and Doughnuts
Chairperson: Luke Tetreault.
- Sunday, 8:30 to 11:30 AM, September through Palm Sunday. Each 4th Sunday of the month an expanded menu to include breakfast sandwich, hash browns, and oatmeal.
- New beginning March 30, 2008. Each 4th Sunday until September from 8:30 to 11:30AM. Menu includes coffee, tea, juice, doughnuts, breakfast sandwich, hash browns, and oatmeal.

- Children scheduled as readers, greeters, and presentation of gifts at special Masses.

Blood Drive
Chairperson: John Koski
- Mercy Bloodmobile will be at the Parish Center March 30, 2008 from 8:30 to 12:30PM
- Appointments are recommended but not required.
- Selections of gifts available from Mercy for giving blood include an umbrella, ceramic coffee mug, or T-shirt.
- Free coffee and doughnuts in the Parish Center for donors.
Community Service- Springfield Relay for Life
Chairperson: Maureen Ellington
- Friday, May 30, 2008, beginning at 3:00PM through Saturday, May 31, 2008, 3PM at Springfield College.
- Team Registration fee is $125.00.
- Team members are on the track for 24 hours. Time on the track can be shared.
- Individual team members get pledges of support. These pledges can be a flat fee or based on time on the track.
